James Andrew Simmons Jr. (Jimbo), 47, Bel Air, died on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

James was born on June 11, 1964, in Havre De Grace, Maryland and was a lifelong Maryland resident. He worked in construction building and reconstructing homes.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Betty and Mike Petty, Chesnee, South Carolina; his father, James Simmons Sr., Bel Air, Maryland; son, James Simmons III, Bel Air, Maryland; daughter, Lindsey Simmons, Cockeysville, Maryland; brothers, Johnny Simmons, Bel Air, Maryland and Sean Simmons, North Carolina; sister, Dreama Bishop, Pennsylvania and numerous other family members.

He is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his sister, Robin Simmons and his son, Brian Simmons.

Cremation by R.T. Foard Funeral Home and services will be held privately.
