Jack H. Phillips of Chesapeake City, MD, formally of Upland, PA, peacefully passed away on April 7th. He was born on March 8, 1934 in Chester, PA to the late Doris (Morrey) Phillips and Homer Phillips.
Jack worked at Reynolds Metals in Chester, PA for 10 years, and retired from Fair Acres Geriatric Center in 1997. He was a lover of horses, and in his younger years worked with many trainers at Delaware Park and Atlantic City Race Tracks.
Jack is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (nee Renard) Phillips, two daughters: Carol Phillips Leary (Rick) and Grace Phillips Fleetwood (Daniel); three grandchildren: David J. Leary, Anna M. Leary and Theresa M. Ross; and one great grandchild, Raigan M. Ross.
A memorial service in Jack’s honor will be held at 2PM on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 318 George St, Chesapeake City, MD 21915. Family and friends may begin visiting at 1PM.
