Ivy A. Norton (94) of Wilmington, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, October 23, 2022. Born in London, England on April 23, 1928, she was the devoted wife of the late Henry J. Norton who preceded her in death in 2017.
Ivy and the family moved to the US in 1967 after her husband was relocated to the Wilmington area due to his engineering expertise. After five years of living in the States, Ivy became US Citizen. Growing up in England during WW II made Ivy both resourceful and resilient. She enjoyed handicrafts, knitting, baking, solving a good crossword and even making custom clothing for her children. Her family fondly recalls her keen sense of humor and upbeat personality. Her positive outlook was truly the secret of her longevity. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ivy is survived by her children: Susan Norton of Wilmington, DE, Paul Norton of St Augustine, FL; granddaughter, Wendi Luffman; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
