Hurley Wayne Farmer age 33 of Elkton, MD passed away on April 2, 2022. He was born on May 29, 1988 in Brooklyn, NY to Hurley Wayne Farmer Sr., and Diane Rodriguez.
Wayne worked as a handyman and could do just about anything with his hands. He had a passion for old school music and rap. He loved to laugh and crack jokes with his family and friends. Wayne often reminisced about his life in Brooklyn and was proud of his Puerto Rican/ African American heritage. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family barbecuing, camping, fishing, and having get togethers. Anyone who knew Wayne, knew that his family was his utmost priority, and would do anything for them. To know him was to truly love him.
Wayne is the father of three beautiful children Damari Kelly, Aniyah Farmer, and Kannon Farmer. Wayne is survived by his parents, Hurley Farmer Sr. and Diane Rodriguez; grandmother, Matilda Rodriguez Ruiz; sisters, Jessica Heyward-Rodriguez, Tiffany Richards, Marjani Farmer, brothers, Justin Rodriguez, Maurice Farmer, and Depriest Farmer; aunts, Josephine, Ana, Angela, Gladys, Eleanor, Jennie, Audrey, Carmen, Robin, Margaret; uncles, Felix Jr., Joseph, Anthony, Andrew, Charles; nieces, Tristan, Teyana; nephew, Sah’ny; cousins, Niasia, Kenny, Anthony, Aliesha, Kiesha, William, Tiffany, Felix III, Ashley, Joseph, James, Deshawn, Lil Will, Lakeisha, Tawana, Jonita, Crystal, Malika, Dominique, Jaquan; step-mother Pamela Farmer; special companion, Lacey Siple; and a host of other family and friends.
Wayne is preceded in death by his grandfather, Felix Rodriguez-Flores, William Farmer; grandmother, Eleanor Farmer; uncles, Robert Lee, William, Mark, John, and Donald. Wayne wanted no one to mourn his death so today we celebrate his life.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 3:00pm at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc. 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711, where friends and family may begin visiting at 1:00pm. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
