I interpretted it as cmoing from someone who doesn't see much of the good in life. All the speaker seems to see and know is the horrible things that go one in this world. Therefore he wants to cry when a new and innocent child is brought into the corrupt and terrible world. However, when that child eventually leaves, he sees it as a good thing and laughs with joy, as the person is finally able to leave behind all the tragedy and horror in this life. And no, I don't think it is offensive to expectant parents at all. It is just one person's view on life in general, not just childbirth.

There is only one Amazing Grace. This world won't be the same without her. I'm not sure the next world is ready for her. Warm and funny, Gracie was loved by those who really knew her.Gracie had a zest for life. Lookout St.Peter !

I, as well as all my cousins, will miss that laugh and all that energy. Never could sit still except in her later years. Amazing Grace she was. Look out Harry here she comes!
