Glenn A. Wingard of Hockessin, DE, age 86, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017. He was born in Wilmington, DE on September 28, 1930 to the late Howard Wingard and Georgia (Sweetman) Wingard.

Glenn served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a great father and husband who was always looking after the family.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Mary Wingard of Hockessin, DE; son, Wayne Wingard of Townsend, DE; two daughters: Linda Caudle of Tampa, FL and Diane Kowalski of Townsend, DE; thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 11:30 AM at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Family and friends may begin visiting at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
