Frances E. Yarber, of Rising Sun, MD., passed away peacefully at Christiania hospital in Newark DE., the morning of November 5, 2022, due to complications from appendicitis. Born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 4th, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Mary K. (Schamberger) Osborne, Sr. of Baltimore, Maryland.
She attended Saint Ursula Elementary and Jr. High, and graduated from Towson High School. Following High school, she went to Nursing School and obtained her CNA. Later, she obtained her Real Estate License and worked for Century 21, and major builders throughout Harford County, MD. She retired in 1998 from F. Schumacher, an interior design company.
She was a fun-loving, young at heart Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She loved and adored her family and was very proud of all her children and grandchildren. She loved to tell stories about her younger years and her beauty contestant days. Through the years Fran enjoyed gardening, sewing, camping, fishing, boating, ice skating, and sewing/crocheting many clothes for her children, and taking her dog Snowball for walks in the park.
Born on the 4th of July, she was a real Firecracker, irony as heck, full of sass, and loved to prank others, especially her grandchildren. She will always be valued by her family for her love, advice, and honesty. She leaves a legacy of strong-willed men and women who she’s instilled the importance of faith, family, and fun!
She is preceded in death by her companion James W. Kimble Jr., and her grandson, Allen J. Whitt, Jr. Brothers, Robert L. & Donald S. Osborne, and Sister, Katherine Barrett.
Fran is survived by her loving children, Son- Emery B. Cornett, Jr (Buddy), and daughter-in-law Teresa of Vilas, NC., Three daughters, Nancy J. Johnstone, & Karl Kus of Dundalk, MD., Donna F. Hammond & Eric Dager of Elkton, MD., and Tanya M. Adams, and son-in-law Timothy of Port Deposit, MD. Ten Grandchildren, 11 Great-grand Children, and many loving Nieces and Nephews.
A viewing will be held on Friday November 11th, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the R.T.Foard funeral home- 111 South Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD. A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, visitation from 10-11 am, service at 11 am and burial to immediately follow at West Nottingham Cemetery.
