Fiona Ann Stevison, age 58, of Gulfport, MS passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1966, in Langley, VA to the late Francis F. Shaeffer, and Christina (Shaeffer) Moran.
Fiona was raised in Newark Delaware, where she attended high school and after graduation attended Duquesne Univ. in Pittsburgh, PA. A business graduate, she worked in banking and sales. She moved to Mississippi and married Donald Stevison. Family was the foundation of Fiona’s life; she adored her loved ones and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
While her time on this earth was far too brief, the impact she made on the lives of those who knew her will echo for years to come. Fiona’s spirit was as vibrant as the green fields of Ireland, a place she held dear to her heart, reflecting her rich Irish heritage. Fiona’s love for her Irish heritage was evident in the traditions she shared with family, ensuring that the stories and customs of her ancestry would continue on through the generations.
Fiona will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her.
Fiona is survived by her mother, Christina Moran; stepfather, Ray Moran; nephew Joseph H. Bacon Jr; daughters: Cassandra Lynn Landon, and Shanelle Rhae Wilson; grandchildren: Baylee Grace Landon, Breanna Rene Landon, Breagan Marie Landon, Briley Joseph Landon, Melody Joelle Wilson, Maria Wilson, and Talon Wilson.
In addition to her father, Fiona is preceded in death by her sister, Tina Shaeffer, many aunts, uncles, and grandparents in England, Ireland, and Australia.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM, at R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711 where family and friends may begin visiting at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery.
