Elizabeth Donnelly, aged 84, died peacefully on September 24, 2015, at her home in Newark. Elizabeth was born September 21, 1931, in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the daughter of James Wright and Elizabeth O’Neill.

In 1961, Elizabeth married the love of her life, Hugh Patrick Donnelly, while he was serving in the United States Air Force. They later moved to Newark, Delaware, where he became the Electrical Supervisor at the University of Delaware. Elizabeth was a devout Roman Catholic and enjoyed raising her family with Catholic values and helping those in need.

Elizabeth is survived by her twin sister, Kathleen Donnelly; daughters, Patricia Campbell of Toledo, OH and Elizabeth Donnelly of Brooklyn, NY; and a number of other loving relatives and close friends.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 29, at 11:30am. Following Mass, Elizabeth and her husband, Hugh, will be buried together at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Wilmington.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Elizabeth during her final years especially, Dr. Carlos Reyes of Wilmington, DE, Kathleen Lasbury Ingram and staff of Heartland Hospice, Dr. Brandi Laird, Katrina Ledbetter, Rama Sesay and her son, Abdul.
