Edith Lockwood Stubbs, age 87, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. She was born in Earlville, MD to the late Earle S. Lockwood and Hilda K. (King) Lockwood.
Edith was an avid crafter, she loved knitting, crocheting, and needle point. She loved playing cards, bingo and doing puzzle books, especially word searches. Edith was a fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Ravens and was always sure to watch their games. She will always be remembered for being stylish, classy, outgoing, and a social butterfly. Edith will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Edith is survived by her two siblings: Roland Lockwood and Mamie Haggerty; two sisters-in-law’s: Dolores Lockwood and Jane Lockwood; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband, George Stubbs.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Bethel Cemetery, 312 Bethel Cemetery Road, Chesapeake City, MD 21915 where family and friends are welcomed to join.
