Doris May MacKenzie, age 90, of Hockessin, DE, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022. She was born in Ireland on May 11, 1932 to the late Robert Alexander McElhinney and Violet Adair (McCombe) McElhinney.

Doris was a long-time member of Newark Senior Center. She took great joy in listening to music, dancing, traveling, and entertaining in her free time. Doris will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Doris is survived by her son, Ian (Michele) MacKenzie; four grandchildren: Brayden, Caleb, Zayne, and Jaxon. In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Colin MacKenzie; baby daughter, Heather; and four siblings.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
