Don and I worked closely together his last decade with Bechtel. An amazing fountain of knowledge and well grounded with a common sense approach to business. Really fun guy, great storyteller, the best kind of family man you could envision, quite a character. My time with Bechtel was blessed in his final working years until he retired on me! Huge loss! We had been in regular email contact since he retired when suddenly it stopped. You will be missed by all those whose paths you crossed in your too-short life, Donnie. I miss our talks, our drives and you emails. Rest comfortably and keep 'em laughing upstairs!

It was hard to know of Don's passing. This wouldn't sink in until we visit Florida again. He was a family friend to us. We were fortunate to work with him at the Mauban, Quezon project. We had some fun times which we can't stop talking about every time we paid each other a visit. Him and Mayette came to Massachusetts a couple of times and we visited them a couple of times in Maryland and Florida. Our little reunion will never be the same again. We will treasure all the conversations and laughter you shared with us. Thank you for your friendship and all the advice you gave. We will miss you Don! Mayette, Dara and family our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest easy with our creator now Don.

I just learned of Don's passing this morning, and I am absolutely heartbroken. Don was such a special man, and I cherished the bond that we had. I had the opportunity to work with Don as a client for 2 years, and it was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Don taught me so much about life, work ethic, relationships, and friendship. I was so grateful for his friendship and even moreso that he and I were able to keep up our friendship when he moved to FL. Don was an impactful person in my life, and I will miss him very dearly. To Dara, Mayette, and the rest of Don's family - I am so sorry for the loss of Don. Please know I will be praying for your family during this difficult time. I hope you can find peace in knowing that Don is home now. May God continue to be with you, and may Don rest in paradise. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and may perpetual light shine upon him.

Dear Dara,
I am so very sorry for your profound loss. Growing up my Mom, Sandy Barr, was close with your Mom. There are many fond memories of hanging out while the Moms baked cookies like Russian Sugar Cookies or just visited. Knowing your parents, I am sure you are a strong woman. May your own loving memories and your faith guide you on the long road to healing. My thoughts are with you and your loved ones.

I am so saddened to learn of this news. I remember Donald as a popular classmate who was very active in sports. The last time I saw him was at our 50th year high school reunion in Jessup, PA. It was then that I met his loving wife Mayette and it was apparent that Donald loved her very much. What a great gift they gave each other. Donald, may you Rest in Peace in God's loving arms. Donald (never Don or Donnie, always Donald) was a good friend through junior high and high school. There was a small group of about 10 of us who would go to Margaret's, Drutts, Chaps to socialize and DANCE! Donald was a lot of fun and a great dancer. I ran into him a few times at reunions, and he never seemed to change. I offer condolences to his family and to let them know he was a great person. Hopefully, one day we'll gather in Heaven and pick up dancing where we left off. ❤❤❤

Our Deepest Condolences to Mayette and Don's Family. We work together at Quezon Power Project in the Philippines from Feb.1997 to May 1999, since then we become good friends. Every time Don and Mayette had a vacation in the Philippines we usually had a get together and we really had a great time reminiscing our good old days in the project. The last time we met was in Batangas City Fiesta last January 16, 2020, I never thought that it will be the last. Our family will surely miss him. Rest in Peace Donald Francis Fanucci, Eternal Rest grant unto him, o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. Jimmy, Tess and Hanna Palma

Uncle Donald's first wife (Mary Ann) was my father's sister, and although we grew up 2,300 miles away, it was always a joy to travel East to see 'family' when I was a youth. Although those trips were few and far between, I still have fond memories of visiting Uncle Donald and Aunt Mary Ann and playing with my cousins. As fate would have it, I was able to re-connect with Don a few months ago and my wife and I were planning to travel to Florida next year to visit him and Mayette. I will cherish the phone conversation we had before his passing. I will now have to wait for a 'family' reunion after this life. My memories of Uncle Donald included his kind heart and hospitality, his stromboli sandwiches, and cool last name. :) The last time my wife and I met Don was Thanksgiving of 1990 at Grandma Di Dario's. I wish we could have shared more holidays together like that. I love you Uncle Donald. Johnny & Vanessa Stankosky

I met Don in 2004 working on Bechtel's Springerville Power project in Arizona. I worked for Don and even through I had many years of experience, I quickly learned I still had a lot to learn about contracting on major projects from Don. He was one of the best Bosses I ever had while working 25 years with Bechtel. Don made coming to work exciting and a pleasure. Even though we were only on that job 2 years together we stayed in touch over the years. Don truly enjoyed life and was always a breathe of fresh air to be around. I will miss his friendship.

I met Don at my very first Bechtel project in the Philippines, Quezon province in 1997. Since then he's been a good friend and became family when he married my best friend Mayette. Don is the epitome of a good person. He's a fun, loving, caring friend to us and an amazing husband to Mayette. He is the most patriotic person I've ever met and his dedication to his chosen political party is admirable. He loves karaoke. He opened our ears to Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin and we will always remember him when we hear their music. I will miss his endless sharing of wisdom but his memories will live in our hearts forever. Rest in peace with the good Lord, Don. We love you. I know you will be watching over us.
