Dolores was born on August 16, 1927 in West Hazleton, PA to George J. Sr. and Josephine (nee Arendash) Mondock.
In addition to raising her family, Dolores worked for the Colonial School District for over 30 years, where she made many dear friends in her Wednesday lunch group. She was an active lifelong member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Wilmington, DE. Dolores was a member of the Howard J. Weston Senior Center where she was an avid Bingo player. Her favorite place to be was Delaware Park, and could often be found playing the slot machines.
Dolores is survived by her sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Lewis of Caldwell OH; daughter, Michele (Richard) Kanefsky of Cherry Hill, NJ; son, Robert (Sandra) Maholik of Round Hill VA; daughter-in-law, Peggie Losten of New Castle DE; 6 grandchildren: Renay Maholik, Justin Maholik, Stefan Losten, Carolina Maholik, Gabriel Losten and Warren Zent; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas E. Losten, son, Nicholas B. Losten, 4 sisters: Agnes Mondock, Dorothy Weckl, Rita Gallo, and Joan Traub, and 2 brothers: George Jr. and Richard.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 800 W. Lea Blvd., Wilmington, DE 19802, where family and friends may begin visiting at 9:00 am. Burial will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Chesapeake City, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to “Howard J. Weston Senior Center” or “St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church” and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711.
