David Allen Wadkins, Sr., age 55, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away on May 29, 2018. Born on January 4, 1963 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of William Gene Wadkins and the late Audrey Jean (Covey) Wadkins.
David worked for most of his life doing home improvements. He was always helping others and was there for anyone in need. In his spare time, David loved hunting, fishing, and crabbing, but his most cherished time was spent spoiling his grandchildren.
In addition to his father, David is survived by his wife of 20 years, Penny Maywhort; daughters: Elizabeth Wadkins and her fiancé, Dustin Hand, and Christina Wadkins; step-daughter, Apryl Stewart and her fiancé, Shane Vise; brothers: William Wadkins and his wife, Dayne, Charles Wadkins, Michael Wadkins, and Stephen Wadkins; and numerous grandchildren. In addition to his mother, David is preceded in death by his son, David Wadkins, Jr. and sister-in-law, Theresa Wadkins.
Services for David will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
