Daniel Edward Williams

Daniel Edward Williams, 32, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Monday, December 12, 2011. He was born on April 5, 1979 in Wilmington, DE.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Williams and their two children, Devin and Callie of Rising Sun, MD; mother, Sharon Faust and her husband, Fred of York, PA; sister, Stephanie Keenan and her husband Mike of Oxford, PA; maternal grandmother, Mary M. Truitt of New Castle, DE; nephews, Trent and Logan; nieces, Grace and Nora and his many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Williams and his maternal grandfather, Edward L. Truitt, Sr. and paternal grandparents, Earl, Sr. and Helen Williams. He is truly loved and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Daniel most recently worked for Melwood at Fort Meade as a Grounds Supervisor. He received his degree in Golf/Turf Management from Rutgers University, and enjoyed landscaping and working outdoors. He loved playing baseball throughout his entire youth. He was a star pitcher who led his high school team, the Rising Sun Tigers, to the State Championship in 1997. Daniel was also an avid fan of the Redskins. He especially loved spending time with his children and his dog, Chopper and his cat, Snoop.

Services will be held at noon on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Janes United Methodist Church, 213 N. Walnut Street, Rising Sun, MD where friends may visit from 10:00 – 12:00. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery.
