Constance “Connie” Morris-Davis

Constance “Connie” Morris-Davis, 84, of Newark, Delaware, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Connie was born on July 13, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Clarence J. Craven and the late Betsy (Ross) Porter.

Connie was a talented and creative woman who took immense pride in making beautiful things for the people she loved. She crocheted afghans for family members and created intricate, detailed Christmas ornaments that were truly works of art. Her handmade gifts were treasured and reflected the love and care she put into everything she did.

Connie enjoyed playing Scrabble and, in her younger years, loved bowling. She dedicated 25 years of her life to working as a school bus driver before beginning a 26-year career in banking. Through her many years of work and her time with family and friends, Connie touched the lives of many people and will be fondly remembered for her creativity, kindness, and generous spirit.

Connie is survived by her children: Sandra Clark, Linda L Morris, and Marc R. Morris; six grandchildren, and five great grandchildren; siblings: Janice C. Lin, April Melnick (husband, Joseph), Clarence J. Craven (wife, Shelia), and Barry Craven. In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by her husband, Douglas A. Davis, Sr.

Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Connie’s memory may be made to the Brandywine Valley SPCA and sent in care of R.T. Foard & Jones, Inc., 122 West Main Street, Newark, DE 19711.
