Christopher James MacDonald, “Chris” age 42 of Newark, DE passed away on March 25, 2017. He was born on January 13, 1975 in Elkton, MD to James Kenneth MacDonald and Rosemarie Blevins (Hoffman).
Chris worked for a security firm and was recently promoted to Supervisor. In his earlier years, Chris rode horses and recently expressed an interest in getting back into the sport. He was a movie fanatic and especially loved The Incredible Hulk, Superman, and Dukes of Hazard. He collected many action figures and memorabilia of The Hulk and Superman, which filled his home. Chris will be remembered for his great personality and laugh. He loved his family and cherished the time spent with his children.
Chris is survived by his fiancé of 14 years, Jennifer Cook of Newark, DE; mother, Rosemarie Blevins and her husband, Paul of Port Deposit, MD; father, James MacDonald of Rising Sun, MD; son, Ryan MacDonald of Conowingo, MD; daughter, Kailyn MacDonald of Concord, NC; brother, Robert MacDonald and his wife, Karen of Rising Sun, MD; step-brother, Jonathan P. Blevins and his wife, Jennifer of Aberdeen, MD; step-sister, Patricia Rose Cooper and her husband, Wayne of Darlington, MD; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A visitation in Chris’s honor will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, March 31, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911. A celebration of life will be held at 11am on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the funeral home, with a visitation beginning at 10am. Burial will follow at Calvary Baptist Cemetery.
