Caroline was like a mother to me. My family knew her for 37 years. She was a loving and giving person. We shared a lot of good memories, like when our children married and we had our grandchildren. She was like a mother to me. Hi-C as I called her just loved her grandson Josh so much. He was the Apple of her eye. She was very proud of him and turned out to be a wonderful young man. We will miss you Hi-c. Love, GLORIA and Tony Rieger

I often thought about Mrs. Hisey since I have moved from Baltimore, MD. I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Hisey at Beechfield Elementary School in 1988. She was always such a warm and caring person. Truly one can say this about Mrs. Hisey, "to teach is to touch a life forever". She has touched many lives and will always be remembered. Mrs. Hisey was the best teacher ever and the one who stands out the most from my school years. In her class, we learned ABC's, numbers, days of the week, months of our birthdays, phone numbers, how to write our names and the names of our family members. She also watched over us like a 2nd mom as we climbed the playground monkey bars, hatched baby chicks in the incubator, took little mat naps on the floor and pretended to make meals and drink tea in her little playhouse kitchen. You could tell Mrs. Hisey loved children and was truly in her element in the classroom. My thoughts & prayers are with her family during this difficult time. Caroline shared her great love of children with me. While Josh attended my home daycare, Caroline added to my program with her presence, knowledge, and even the curriculum she used in her classroom. She was a true friend and awesome Grandmother. With the Christmas season upon us, I will miss her delicious Peppermint Bark and her beautiful smile! I would like Josh and her extended family to know that they are in my thoughts and prayers. The world has lost a truly amazing woman.

I had the absolute honor of being Caroline's friend for 50 years. I began my teaching career at Beachfield and devoted she was an amazing mentor And friend to me. She gave me advice and support throughout my life and I am so incredibly saddened by her loss. The world has lost a true lady. Caroline's love for family was very strong, and you all were such wonderful supports for her. I watched Josh grow from her letters, calls, and pictures, and want him to know how much his grandmother adored him and wanted only the best for him. I regret that my health issues will keep me from being with you on Monday, but I will be thinking of and praying with and for all of you.
