Carol Ann Hurtt

Carol Ann Hurtt, age 66 of Earleville, MD passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on February 1, 1959, in Elkton, MD, Carol was the daughter of the late William Alvin Biggers, Sr. and Sheila Mae (Phillips) Van Den Heuvel.

Carol was a kind person, with an unwavering ability to go with the flow, embracing the unpredictability of life with a feisty spirit and thoughtful demeanor.  She enjoyed baking cakes and preparing delicious meals for family and friends. In addition to her culinary pursuits, Carol had a gentle passion for collecting turtles, a hobby that reflected her nurturing nature. Her home was filled with the presence of these remarkable creatures, reminding all who visited of her kindness and unique interests.  Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often spending her evenings watching television, a time for relaxation and laughter.  Her feisty, yet kind and thoughtful approach to life allowed her to connect with those around her, leaving a mark on their hearts.

Carol is survived by her mother, Sheila Mae Van Den Heuvel, siblings: Georgia Wilson (husband, Michael), William A. Biggers, Jr., Jacqueline Marie Embon, Kenneth Wayne Van Den Heuvel; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

At the convenience of the family, services will be held privately. Carol will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
