Bill Bare, age 58, of Elkton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, February, 14, 2017 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. He was born on March 5, 1958, in Elkton, MD to Joe L. Bare and the late Ella Mae Ellison Bare.
A 1976 graduate of North East High School, Bill worked as a production worker at various manufacturing facilities including Schultz Mobile Home, Westvaco, and Leer Corporation. He was a loyal fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Orioles, and supported them through the highs and lows. Bill would later come to enjoy University of Maryland Terrapin basketball after his son attended and graduated from the school. He also enjoyed playing basketball in his younger years, shooting pool with friends and lifting weights in his garage. His greatest joy however, came from being a grandfather.
He is survived by his son, Eric J. Bare, of Morristown, NJ; daughter, Kirsten M. Bare, of Elkton, MD; father, Joe Bare of Elkton, MD; brothers, Brian K. Bare, and Mark A. Bare, and his wife Kelly, of Elkton, MD; sister, Anita B. Holmes,and her husband Tom, of Elkton, MD; granddaughter, Aubree Fortune; and seven nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly.
Bill is predeceased by his mother, Ella Mae Bare, and grandson, Gavin Fortune.
A Celebration of Bill’s Life will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. 259 East Main Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 1PM. Burial will follow at Church of Christ Elkton Cemetery on Blue Ball Road in Elkton, MD.
