Barbara Kent Bruce, age 69, of Conowingo, MD passed away Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was born on October 14, 1947 to the late Florence Ilene (Firestein) Kent.
Barbara worked hard to run the make a wish campaign through her employer and was able to increase the donation from her law firm every year. She loved to read and working with her hands doing crafting and needle point, including cross-stich. Barbara enjoyed watching NFL football, especially the Redskins, and old movies. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and extended family. Barbara will be greatly missed for her loving and caring nature.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Ron Bruce of Conowingo, MD, son, Sean Bruce and his wife Crystal also of Conowingo, MD, Albert and Pat Firestein and their children James, John and Robert, and the rest of the Firestein and Galloway family.
A visitation will be held for Barbara between 6 PM and 8 PM on Friday, May 19, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD 21911. A funeral service in Barbara’s honor will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, where family and friends may begin visiting at 10AM. Burial will follow at Brookview Cemetery.
