Leah was my sister-in-law and my friend. I met her when I was five years old and moved across the road from the Otteys and we shared all the years since then. I am now 93 myself. I think my daughter Beth ( when she wrote about all of are family memories together) said very well many of the things I would have said. In later years, I want to add the wonderful times Leah and Lennie were with my husband, Jay I and I. We went on several wonderful trips with them such as the Canadian Rockies and the Mississippi River. We had a great time together. There were others with us and they all loved sharing the time us. They came to visit us in Florida several times and Jay and I loved going to the beach house. Jay and Lenny would talk or read while we played cards I grieve with her family about their loss, but Leah will be in our thoughts forever. She was all the things that were talked about at her service yesterday, Elaine Williams

I have no special stories to share about Aunt Leah; just childhood memories of family vacations at the beach, celebrating Thanksgivings at her house and playing with cousins in the back yard under her supervision. She never raised her voice or chastised us kids no matter what we did! She was so much fun! When I think of Aunt Leah, I think about her sophisticated sense of style, frequent laughter, telling funny stories, and that dramatic pose she liked to strike when getting her picture taken. As Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Aunt Leah always made me feel welcome, accepted and loved. So many people will miss her. My heart goes out to all of her friends and family.
