Alex J. Evans, 61, of Rising Sun, MD passed away peacefully Monday, May 2, 2016.

Born October 3, 1954 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Alex was the son of the late Samuel and Katherine (Homza) Evans. Alex enjoyed fishing and boating. He was an animal lover with a special place in his heart for dogs and horses. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.

Alex is survived by his two daughters, Patricia LaSala and her husband, Karl and Theresa Browne and her husband, Kevin; five grandchildren, Trevor, Kylie, Taylor, Gavin, and Brynn; three sisters, Maureen Gray, Kathy Newman, and Michelle Tozzi; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held privately and at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to “After the Races” (a thoroughbred race horse rescue located in Nottingham, PA) and sent in care of R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD 21911.
